I just found out that when my crush was born, the no.1 song was 'Cinderella Rockefeller'- I love it !!

(One for the teenagers Grin)

Do you like your own no.1 birth song ?

Even the lyrics fit being born, "Well since my baby left me ..I have found a new place to dwell ...

🤔

That'll Be The Day - hate it. Loathe it.
Jailhouse Rock - wouldn't listen to it for pleasure.

Well, looked it up. I have never heard of the No 1, but the No 2 was one of the best Rock N Roll songs of all time. I am still not giving away my age.

I'm similar to this. I've heard of the no1, and it's a very blah crooner effort, but the no2 is a nailed-down rock 'n roll classic. Still not a favourite, but streets ahead of the no1. I was born in the early years of rock 'n roll.

PlateBilledDuckyPerson · 20/03/2023 12:11

I don't really like it, but it is quite a 'classic' upmarket one, so I'm happy with it, if that makes sense.

Whichwhatnow · 20/03/2023 12:15

Mine is by Stevie Wonder who (I know, know) is a bit of a legend but to me is just meh.

However looking at the two songs immediately before and after my birthday week I could have had either Wham or George Michael (as a solo artist) so I think I had a lucky escape!

LumpyandBumps · 20/03/2023 12:17

Yes, I like mine. It was never a favourite when I was young as I don’t suppose many people remember what is playing when they are a baby.
I know it gives away my age, but it was
Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini

Topseyt123 · 20/03/2023 12:22

Mine was a double A side by the Beatles - Yellow Submarine and Eleanor Rigby. That dates me I suppose, but only narrows it down to a few tens of thousands of babies born in that week of that year. Hardly too identifying. 🤣

Dotjones · 20/03/2023 12:22

I'm not going to reveal mine because it narrows things down too much, it's the only number 1 for one of those people everyone's heard of but nobody could actually name a song by them.

Bonjovispjs · 20/03/2023 12:28

Hadn't heard of mine, so googled it, it's ok. What was interesting was the fact it also told me how many minutes ago I was born, it was a hell of a lot😆

Inforapenny65 · 20/03/2023 13:09

Mine's Iv Got You Babe by Sonny & Cher 🤣

PutinTheFuckingBasket · 20/03/2023 13:10

The Chicken Song by Spitting Image. Pretty apt for where my sense of humour ended up Grin

Phos · 20/03/2023 13:13

It was 19 by Paul Hardcastle. It's ok I guess although apparently the documentary that he samples was completely factually inaccurate.

KimberleyClark · 20/03/2023 13:26

Surrender - Elvis. Yes, I like it.

Awwwww!! I absolutely love this. Particularly the fact that Ringo Starr for a change is the vocal on Yellow Submarine !!

We’re going to Ibiza by the Vengaboys.

It says nothing to me about my life.
