Something perturbing has happened. I watched Question Time this week and was bowled over and slightly unsettled to kind of fall in love with Richard Madeley?! He's bloody brilliant... Spot on defending Gary Lineker's free speech but pointing out the stupidity of his comments and how 2023 UK is not 1930's Germany. He tore into Johnson and his family media business, Father prospective Knighthood, brother in Houses of Lords etc. He patiently waited and everytime he did speak he was so insightful. I just want him to come round and cook me a roast dinner, read me a book and explain the good & bad of his top 50 celeb interviews.

Many years ago him and Judy did an item on This Morning about a female medical condition with 'Dr Chris' who was their GP. He was so kind and sensible about it and did none of the silly giggling that the two who present now would probably do. As a result of him asking the right questions and reassuring their guest I acted on the advice and I have loved him for it ever since!

Good for him. But he still wears clicky shoes and puts his foot on his other thigh. That's unforgivable...

I saw him when he was on The Circle and thought he was a lovely, thoughful person. That's all I know him from so was quite surprised to find out loads of people loath him.

I really like him too. He strikes me as a kind person. I miss him and Judy doing This Morning - wish they were still on instead of the simpering twats itv currently fawns all over!

Why was that "spot on" given that Lineker never said that we were 1930s Germany?
