To ask if till dates and times are accurate?

Long story short, I think my partner is lying to me but it rests on the time and date on a receipt. If someone bought something at JD on 7th March, is there any possibility the time and date on the would show 9th March at 9.42am?
This is such a petty question I know!!

He's obviously lying. I guess the question is, why?

Could he have bought them on a credit card hence the different card number?

Given the trust is gone, does it matter if he is lying or not now?.

Either you are prepared to ignore your suspicions and stay in the relationship or it is time to get out.

You don't need to prove he is lying, you don't trust him anymore. Think if you want to stay and if not make plans to leave him.

Tills are now run via broadband circuits, and electronic, the date and time are automatically registered, if it was wrong it'll likely be an issue for the company when it comes round to audit times, also they help with customer disputes so it's in the companies best interest to be correct, so very unlikely to be incorrect.

No, dates and times on receipts are usually accurate, I have to log receipts regularly for work and they always match up - sometimes the money might not leave my account the same day but the transaction is correct.

I submit expenses, and occasionally get a receipt where the time and/or date isn't correct. It's usually from a small, independent retailer though. I doubt a large chain would have incorrect date on it as the info would be pulled from the universe a central system.

Don't know what you're talking about Zola, why do you want to fall out over a pair of shoes?

Busted!!!

Yep. It's not about the shoes, is it? It'd be just as weird if it was a midmorning receipt for a coffee shop on someone's else's card when he said he was at work.

Yes to Apple Pay showing different card.

G Pay does too.

Lots to consider. Going to go to said shop tomorrow.. the poster who said about our house, yes I suspect she's been here! I don't want to be a lunatic who threw away a perfectly fine relationship over my own anxieties I suppose

Are they your own anxieties or an expected result of previous behaviour on his part?
