Anyone bored, got an interest in travel and likes google-sleuthing?
Some of you might have seen social media ads for Journee - a travel firm that books holidays and short breaks based on your preferences, but don't tell you the destination. The idea is you find out where you're going when you get to the airport.
Just out of curiosity I asked them for a trip proposal - which to does sound really good and well matched with my preferences! But I haven't actually got the time or budget to book a trip right now.
So I've no way to find out where the trip is to, and I'd love to know! I reckon with the mumsnet hivemind we could figure it out with the info provided. Completely trivial really, but I know I'm not the only one who likes a good googling challenge.
What I know is:
1-3 hours flight, flying from Luton at 6:30am on 30th Mar, returning Gatwick at 10:50pm 2nd April. Average temp around 15C
Destination is coastal - described as "rugged" "remote old world charm" "coastal vistas", with hiking along a scenic coastal path and a boat trip to hidden caves and coves. But close to an "iconic city" which will be part of the trip.
Base will be a town, arriving there (from the airport?) by train on a "scenic journey"
The country is described as a "culinary superpower".
I figured I could narrow it down then work it out based on the flight times provided? My first guess was the Costa Brava (foodie, coastal hikes, close to an iconic city in Barcelona) but I think probably too obvious (they make a thing out of not sending you to places "like Paris or Venice") and I can't make the flights add up.
Italy fits the "culinary superpower" description, but I'm not sure where it would be.
Any ideas mumsnet?
