To ask which big supermarket is best?

I currently use Asda for my online shop which is usually the main one. But I also go to Aldi as alot of things are nicer and cheaper. I also have a Tesco club card and top up at a local one mid week when necessary. I'm wondering whether to swap Asda to Tesco. But delivery seems more expensive and is already booked up for this weekend in my area.
Aibu to ask where do other parents shop when you go through food like no tomorrow and are trying to save money?

I switched from Tesco deliveries to Asda. I’d been with Tesco ever since they started deliveries, but during Covid, I couldn’t get regular slots and nothing near Christmas. I could get an Asda slot, so I did my whole Christmas shop with them. They offered me a delivery pass. I asked Tesco if I could have one, and they said no. I took up the Asda delivery pass. I found the Asda website much better - with Tesco, my order was in the order I made it, all higgedly piggedly. Asda automatically sorts my order into departments, so I can look at say what I have ordered from the fruit department and see if I have missed anything out? Much better! I am really grateful to have a weekly delivery at a time of my choosing!

Imo, the ready meals are not as good, but most of the own brand and the big brand name stuff is as good as anywhere else! We top up, using Aldi, Lidl, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Waitrose (for a few ready meals).

Which covered this last month. Iirc, M & S came out the best, although not on value for money. Aldi came second, as they are better value for money. Lidl came a little further down, like 4th or 5th.

Asda is better than Tesco imo

I swapped asda to ocado. They have everything, very rarely have to substitute and there is usually an offer on £20 off if you spend £60.
Some things can be actually cheaper than in ASDA

I use ASDA. There rewards card is great and I've saved loads of money on my shopping using this. There basics are good quality and I also have a BLC so get an extra 10% off. They also have a good butcher and alot of world foods which I like.

I use Lidl/M&S for top ups if needed-only cos they're very close to me.

Ooh maybe I should reconsider! Or do a few trial shops.

I switched from Asda delivery to Tesco. Found the prices more on par with Aldi. Asda have better delivery options though which is annoying!

For online and if it's just food/basic toiletries/cleaning products I use Iceland. Probably not the cheapest (a lot of items are brand ones) but they are good with the deliveries and don't do silly substitutions.

Eataly or borough market. Chain supermarket fruit is inedible.

Think it's very area dependant tbh. Here Tesco is def better than Asda. Too many Substitutions which can be rubbish with Asda. I set up a tesco delivery saver during the pandemic as it is def harder to get slots with them, but that has eased somewhat now.
