I must have eaten about 40 this weekend 😮

Also, they were eating over the course of the weekend, not in one go.

If you are trying to eat healthily, don't go in your local cash & carry 😂

I don't like them so you can have mine Grin

It depends; big, small, breaded, battered, chicken or 'chicken', with a carefully curated selection of condiments or dry? It's a complex question.

Box of 20 Blush

BarbaraofSeville · 27/02/2023 10:17

It also depends on how often and the quality. It wouldn't be great to eat great piles of them multiple times a week, especially if they're the 'pink slurry of mushed up mechanically reclaimed chicken mixed with fillers' variety rather than actual pieces of chicken.

But as a minor part of your overall diet, however many you like. Although eating anything until you feel stuffed is not great either. Again, it should be the exception, rather than the norm.

BarbaraofSeville · 27/02/2023 10:19

On the McDonalds ones. If I get nuggets, I usually buy 20 because they're much better value than 6 or 9 (I think last time I went, which was some time ago, it was something like 2.79 for 6, 3.79 for 9 or 4.29 for 20, so you have to wonder why anyone would buy less than 20.

I always intend to eat no more than 10 and save the rest for later as they can be frozen and reheat fine in the air fryer.

MadameSzyszkoBohusz · 27/02/2023 10:22

I worked in MacDonalds as a teenager and it was common practice to snaffle nuggets throughout your shift. Of course I was always the unlucky one that a manager would decide to come and talk to the moment I had hamster cheeks full of nuggets.

I know I'm missing the point of the thread here, but you know foods like these are designed to you'll overeat them!

Okunevo · 27/02/2023 10:27

One. Don't get the love for them, I'd much rather just eat chicken.

LaRitournelle · 27/02/2023 10:28

I once had a 20 box from McDonald's on a Saturday, and then the same again on the Sunday Blush So 40 not too many by my standards Grin

MissDollyMix · 27/02/2023 10:30

God. I really want some chicken nuggets now I've read this.

OneTC · 27/02/2023 10:31

I normally start to struggle at about 17-18

There’s a softplay near me that does really good home made chicken nuggets. Birthday parties feature a big bowl of them and a big big adults hoping the kids won’t want to eat much so they can have them instead.

cocksstrideintheevening · 27/02/2023 11:14

I wish McDonalds would put all the crap back in their chicken nuggets, they used to be so much better.

The birds eye chicken shop ones are pretty good and I could eat a fair few of those if I put my mind to it.

80sMum · 27/02/2023 11:18

Oh dear, I'm afraid I have to say that even one is too many - unless they're home-made, in which case it depends on the size of course but on average I would say between six and eight would be a sensible portion.

AngeloMysterioso · 27/02/2023 11:35

I see a few other people have posted the mean girls meme.

I polished off two lots of 20 in one weekend once. Back when I was in my 20s and had great metabolism.

If you haven’t tried dipping them in BBQ sauce and sour cream and chive dip, then I thoroughly recommend it.

Now I want nuggets.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/02/2023 11:37

Is one nugget the same as the mn mysterious chicken that feeds all

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Fwiw 4 for a child. Like maccy d. Maybe 6:8 for an adult

But if had a few times a week ...

Ponoka7 · 27/02/2023 11:43

Our softplay does lovely chicken nuggets. The kids at the parties I used to take my GC to never ate them, especially the 6-8pm, so I did. I've had the McDonald's ones two days in a row, probably about nine per sitting. We don't eat chips, so it works out the same as someone getting fries and eating less nuggets.

AngeloMysterioso · 27/02/2023 11:52

Also, if anyone lives nearby- Leeds Castle in Kent has the most delicious chicken goujons- once when I was pregnant we went to the kiosk thing right before they were closing and the chap gave me all of them that he had left- it was the highlight of my day Grin
