I’ve just been in my usual post 12h shift scroll hole whilst waiting for my bus, and can’t believe what I’ve seen, mentioning of gangs around the South American border kidnapping children, removing their organs and using their bodies to transport cocaine

i feel like I’m going to be sick. How can people be so awful.

sorry just on my own and have no one to talk to about this but it’s shaken me up.

I haven't read about this but I did once see a video of what some of these gang members do to rivals. Nothing would surprise me anymore.

Bit of an overreaction, no?

Potentially yes. See above. Hormonal, and exhausted. Pulling fifty hour weeks in the hospital. Studying a healthcare degree, trying to manage mothering my children.
so yea. Potentially not totally rational.
im home now with a herbal tea and feeling much calmer about it.

Wouldn't they be questioned at the border as to why they have dead children in their possession? 🤔

@Isahlo
I think terrible things happen to children. But I don’t think this is true. I understand how you feel about your daughter, and the fragility of life.
I hope you are ok. Flowers

Thanks ☺️ been thinking a lot about one of my friends who ended her own life today too, as I was in the hospital she was treated in (I’m on rotation) so I think it’s just been one of those days. Home with a cuppa now. Thanks for your kindness. X

They make the children look like they’re sleeping.

They’ll cover them with blankets and drive across the checkpoints.

Again, why would that be a good way to smuggle drugs? If your car is searched then it is going to be obvious pretty quickly that the child is dead (from the smell if nothing else).

missmollygreen · 18/02/2023 21:24

There must be infinitely easier ways to smuggle drugs than in the bodies of dead children... Im calling BS

ThatshallotBaby · 18/02/2023 21:28

You’ve got a lot going on @Isahlo. So sorry for your loss. Sending you more Flowers and hugs if you want one.

Without meaning to sound flippant, I think your child is pretty safe from Mexican drug cartels.

And?! That's not the point is it

Hellsmovie · 18/02/2023 21:37

Swap mexico for Cuba and dead kids for adults and this one of plots of bad boys 2

Cocobutt · 18/02/2023 21:52

Whether it’s true or not is irrelevant really.

We know that people abuse and kill kids for their own gains all of the time.

Some of the people in this world are vile and it would be a completely different world if women, children and animals (and in some cases men too) could just enjoy life without the worry of other humans.

Kendodd · 18/02/2023 21:52

Anyone else think it would actually be easier to smuggle drugs across international borders than dead children?

ThePixiesTookIt · 18/02/2023 22:13

Glad you're back home now, sometimes everything is too much. Especially if you've been thinking about your friend as well. Look after yourself OP.
