Shortly after the police released information about her problems with alcohol (and menopause), after looking for a woman in a river where she was walking her dog, a complete non-story emerges. I just think that there’s a good chance it has been written/published to cash in on an awful story.

Reading the Mail is a choice, I choose not to read it. It is full of nasty, spiteful, misogynistic, racist shite.

It will be a deliberate choice. Any low opinion of the Mail's intentions is likely too high.

It's a nasty hate filled rag, this country would be a better place if it ceased publication. The hatred of women on that site is almost palpable, they are too old, too young, too fat, too thin. If they don't have children they are selfish, if they have more than two they are criticised. If they stay at home with their kids they are lazy, if they work they are neglectful career driven uncaring mothers. When they age they are ridiculed for having surgery and treated with contempt if they don't. The Mail supported Oswald Mosley in the 1930's it's "hurrah for the Blackshirts" tells you all you need to know about its political stance .

I'm with you, OP. Out of all the "hilarious moments" they could have chosen from they chose that one? No coincidence IMO. Someone I know linked to the DM "story" earlier today about Nicola Bulley's vulnerabilities. I was disgusted. They are poring over every detail that is none of their business. Just total shit-stirring gossip. You can totally understand why certain members of the Royal Family despise them. It's a pernicious rag. I hate the fact that it's out there available for free - it explains the activities of the ridiculous people that have posted on the many threads about Nicola on here recently too.

That is not journalism, people. It is simply doing what it takes to sell that paper, at any cost. I thought the rags had learned from that from the phone hacking scandal. They are scum.
