To not see a relative today

Hey....first time posting so go easy on me :-)

My relative let me know they were being sick all day yesterday (most likely a stomach bug as lots going around) but is feeling much better today and still intends to come out with us..

The place we are due to visit is an hour drive away and the relative would be in the car with us the whole time (but outside when we get there). I'm a mum of multiple children, and my husband works full time. AIBU to cancel on the relative? I know there's a change the kids might get a big from anywhere else but I know if they get a sick bug that they usually all get it (joy of multiples) and that I will be left to look after them on my own (including if I get sick too) as my husband will be working (unless he gets sick too) as he can't afford to take time off. Husband thinks I should just go, as they might not get sick... (I know he's right...) but I definitely wouldn't go if there was a chance I would pass on germs unnecessarily.

I wouldnt if they were only vomiting yesterday! No way.

No I definitely wouldn’t go in a car with your MIL relative until a few days have passed. They sound very selfish to not want to keep their germs away.

Different if it was an emergency, but this is very avoidable.

If it was one of multiple colds going around, I might risk it (they could wear a mask for example) but a vomiting bug - no bloody way!!!!

48hr rule. Sorry, but she is being selfish to say she’ll still come and sit giving everyone her germs in the car, enclosed space. Just no.
