Posting here for traffic.

What on earth do I put on it?!

He's still in school, small bit of work experience and hobbies.

I'll have to make the text huge to fill a page.

Oh I've let go, I work 2 jobs just trying to keep the lights on, he can see this and wants to help his mum out. He's a pain in the arse but has a heart I'm glad to see.
I've cancelled my internet at home, hence why I'm sending the ermail. He wrote out a CV and I was just asking for suggestions on how to fluff it up as he's only 16 so not much to stick on there. Some great suggestions given though and really helped.

Why does every little thing have to be explained on Mumsnet.

Outside hobbies? Captain of the football team? Helps coach little ones? Doing a referee course( great little money spinner that one btw!)

@Englishash That's a great suggestion as he loves football.
My next child down from him can't wait to get a job, she's 16 in June and will be a fabulous worker.
I'm going to help her with a CV also and get her to hand it into a local cafe, hairdressers etc.
I love that my children want to work, that's half the battle.

Please reread the first sentence.

I have not excluded the possibility of a teen writing a polished CV themselves. It can happen.

I have, however, had parents asking about jobs for their children. When I say the teenager needs to approach me themselves, and they are welcome to do so, I almost never hear back.

I'm not sure that "Get wind of", means what you think it does.

It means exactly what I think it does. From the dictionary: "begin to suspect that (something) is happening; hear a rumour of."

Exactly...you suspected, but didn't know absolutely, yet that CV would go in the bin.

He could do some volunteer work. I volunteered at a riding school every Saturday age 16-18.
