I caught sight of
Myself in the mirror today and Jesus Christ, I have a Turkey neck .
Can I do anything to improve this to tighten it up. I'm 50.
Is it even possible ?

You can treat it, but the only things that work are Botox injections, laser to tighten skin or in more severe cases, a neck lift.

I think that's why many older women start wearing scarves.

When I was 3 years old I asked my Grandma "why do you have a neck like a chicken?". Happening to me now. Serves me right!

hahah brilliant!!!
Well I can't afford a neck lift but a scarf may be an option ...
I dont suppose creams will do anything at this stage ?

Creams do nothing much in terms of remedial action unless the skin is dehydrated- the most effective cream is SPF used preventatively.

Necktite procedure, lower face and neck lift/neck lift seem to get good results with the right surgeon.

Some people say Profilo as prevention is good.

My 2 cents worth is that you could pump a load of cash into creams and non surgical interventions that don't work, and people are so scared of surgical intervention. If it's from a risk averse stance then fine, but if it's because they think it's frivolous to spend it on themselves, stop buying the creams and silly facials (ok maybe high frequency works a bit and there are better things out there - ultrasound etc - but you know what I mean).

People will replace a perfectly fine kitchen for 45k which they then sell but won't tighten up the neck they will wear everywhere for the rest of their life for 5k.

Just decide to stop caring about it and be happy.

Neck lift with lower face lift. I'm 3 months post op after spending a fortune on stuff that doesn't work. It looks AMAZING. One of the best things I've ever done.

At 50 it’s surely not as bad as you think

I’m starting to get it a bit, but if I stick my chin out a bit and smile it’s gone 😁

Bit of gaffa tape on the back of your neck. Try it. It works.😄 You need to make sure your hair Iis long enough to cover it

Looking down on your phone will make it worse

Yes, as I discover every time I accidentally switch my camera app on.

Have you been a boom or bust dieter?

Are you on HRT?

What was your mother's neck like at your age?

Probably the only way to change what you have is surgery, do you want to be that drastic?

OopNorfDahnSarf · 12/02/2023 19:21

Try yoga. I'm convinced it has improved my saggy chin.

TheObstinateHeadstrongGirl · 12/02/2023 19:23

I get fat dissolving injections on mine. Works a treat. But you do also have to have a healthy lifestyle for it to work so I up my walking, gym visits and improve my diet after having them. I pay £105 a session and only need 3 or so (spaced apart by a month each) it lasts for ages.
