Insane ferry /eurostar and flight prices to Europe. Any tips

The ferry wasn't much cheaper bearing in mind fuel costs.

Are there any tips? Perhaps booking from the French side or something...

But EasyJet at Easter was cheap, paid £21 out £32 back. Look on different days ideally, saved a fortune travelling on Wednesdays

Fair enough, FWIW the revenue management people at airlines are well aware of when peak demand will occur on the various routes. Tickets on flights during the high demand dates will almost always be a high price, right from the date of release.

As a general point the likes of Easyjet and Ryanair aren't always anything like the cheapest option these days so it's always worth checking other carriers but I know for some travellers it's departure and destination airports that drive the choice as much as cost.

We’ve just got to France today. Eurotunnel was £209 return.

@Floofyduffypuddy we are going second week of august about lunchtime.
Lots of trains for about £50 per trip per person when we booked a few days ago. Maybe because we're not going first thing. That's on a Monday.
