To look for suggestions for solo activities?

What would you suggest for a couple of days off work when you have some time to yourself? Want to make the most of it. I’m single and friends all either with a partner or have young babies. So not many really available to do anything as much any more. I’d love to be brave enough to book a solo spa break but I’d feel awkward at dinner alone etc. (I know!!) any suggestions for me ?

Solo spa break somewhere that does room service? My friend and I go to Champneys and have room service because we can’t be bothered to get dressed in the evening. Also that way we eat when we want rather than stuck to a particular time… and cos we are still in robes we got back to use the spa facilities afterwards when it’s really quiet.

alternatively there are usually retreats on, and there are a lot of single people on those. Dinner is the whole group together.

glamping is also great if you like laid back and walking, nothing quite like a fire pit in the evening, you can toast marshmallows and read… bliss!

being on your own is really under rated but I’m with you on not enjoying eating in a restaurant on my own.

Why not go to a city break in the UK - shopping, sightseeing and maybe go to a hotel with a spa or pool as well. If you're concerned about eating on your own just get something like Pret or Leon, not unusual to go there on your own.
