Entry level, very large pension. Also it's in a place where salaries aren't high

It's an arm of the Civil Service, that is entry level SC pay. Unless you go for promotion it won't increase quickly but as PP has said, it probably is the kind of role people don't stay in for more than a couple of years.

Entry level finance jobs pay around this level I’m afraid. If you were to include the pension, it’s equivalent to £25,700 pa with a 3% pension in the private sector (the min. rate employers must contribute). That’s also not looking at annual leave which is decent and sick pay if ever needed.

Seems reasonable.I’d want to know how much of that pension contribution is from employee. At my uni job it’s 10%!

SLC offer a Blend working model which will typically be 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

You can expect more from a career with SLC. We support colleagues to unlock their potential through our Career Pathways development programme and offer an excellent benefit and rewards package that includes:
28 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays
Option to buy/sell annual leave
Flexi-time and flexible working options available
Option to join the Civil Service pension scheme
Life insurance cover for 4 x annual salary
Enhanced company sick pay and family leave including maternity, paternity and adoption
Contributory lifestyle benefit options including discounts at hundreds of retailers, cycle to work scheme, access to the Civil Service Sports and Leisure Club for discounted gym memberships, and an optional dental insurance scheme.

...sounds good to me!

20k for a call centre job which only requires two GCSEs seems fair.

It’s a customer call centre role, so the salary is equal to most call centres. The benefits are better than most call centres with pension contributions, above average annual leave, enhanced maternity and paternity pay. So with the pay and benefits it’s a pretty decent call centre job.
