To use eyebrow razor on 14 month olds face?

My daughter has fine hair on her face, but as we are a family of black hair and fist skin it’s really noticeable. It’s very very fine, but very noticeable.

If I took an eyebrow razor to it and just gently did the side burns bit, would that be ok?

Anyone done it before?

This is horrific! I think you need to have a word with yourself. Is her only worth how she looks?

inform your doctor and health visitor you are thinking of doing this. If you feel to ashamed to hopefully you have answered your own question!

turrrniiipz · 08/02/2023 13:45

No it wouldn't be ok.

It will grow back. So what then?

It will itch.

It might cause a shaving rash.

She is a baby and babies have lots of baby hair. She isn't a doll.

DNBU · 08/02/2023 13:45

No? Really???

bussteward · 08/02/2023 13:46

Please don’t do this! Babies aren’t supposed to conform to cultural aesthetic norms (leaving aside that no one should have to). Their bodies are different: head hair finer, skin more sensitive.

DS is hairy head to toe, like a miniature Burt Reynolds, with a face full of baby acne. He’s perfect, from hairy shoulders to hairy ears. So is your baby.

Safeworkspace · 08/02/2023 13:46

This can't be real , no one would be that stupid...

Viviennemary · 08/02/2023 13:47

Absolutely not. Its a terrible idea

Choconut · 08/02/2023 13:48

If you shave it then the ends will be blunt and it will be even more noticeable when it grows back.

It's so sad that society has such pressure to be hairless that it is even affecting babies.

Somethingsnappy · 08/02/2023 13:49

😱

It's Lenugo hair and it will FALL OFF on its own !!! Please don't use a razor on your babies face !!!!

I don't think so at 14 months.

Thedogscollar · 08/02/2023 13:51

Apart from the obvious risks of injury and infection this is wrong on so many levels.
Some babies are born hairy it's called lanugo it starts in the uterus, it's there for protection and warmth. Prem babies are often very hairy and many term babies too.

Do NOT shave your baby on any part of there body. I can't quite believe I'm actually having to type this. 🙈🙉

PrincessMyshkin · 08/02/2023 13:52

Don't shave the baby ffs!!

Waterfallgirl · 08/02/2023 13:55

Oh my god I so hope this is a joke!

CleaningOutMyCloset · 08/02/2023 13:57

No don't do it

Inkpotlover · 08/02/2023 13:58

Riiiggght.

In the v.v.v.v. unlikely event this is real, maybe focus instead on learning to love your baby as she is, hairy bits and all, so that when she grows up she knows to love herself too.

BrutusMcDogface · 08/02/2023 13:59

Dear god, please don’t shave your baby!! 😱

Hups · 08/02/2023 13:59

Must be boring under the bridge today.

OdeToBarney · 08/02/2023 14:01

My dd had hairy ears, not just a little hairy, but really hairy! She's 9 months old and it's all but gone now. Do not shave your baby ffs!

TaraMock · 08/02/2023 14:01

I worry about wwhat kind a hang-ups this poor child will grow up with if her mother even thinks it's OK to shave her face at 14m old 😔

ThisWOMANWontWheesht · 08/02/2023 14:03

Wind them up and let them go. Hmm

Seasonofthewitch83 · 08/02/2023 14:05

PLEASE DON'T SHAVE YOUR BABY

bordhoose · 08/02/2023 14:06

Well, this is a sentence I wouldn't have ever expected to type...but no. Do not shave your baby. FFS.

FourAndTwentyBlackbirdsBakedInAPie · 08/02/2023 14:09

If course you should do it, your baby will be self conscious at the parent and toddler groups if you don't.

Favouritefruits · 08/02/2023 14:10

It’s a baby! Who care if they have hair on their face, you’ll only make it worse anyway.

JorisBonson · 08/02/2023 14:11

Don't feed it 🤥

windyarse · 08/02/2023 14:11

Fuck, no.
