I've been really unwell this weekend with a horrible viral infection to the point a&e suspected sepsis until they had taken bloods . Just about feeling better but honestly can't remember feeling this poorly in my entire life.
Everytime I've been unwell no matter what the situation after a day or two of 'looking after me' husband will start huffing about and then the clincher will always say 'I think im getting it/I've got a bad elbow/knee etc'
I had a hospital appointment this morning and it's taken my all to get out of bed. Five minutes in the forced cough and 'I'm definitely getting it...'
I really I could be irrational as I'm unwell but fml

I had one of those. If I stubbed my toe he had broken his. If I had a headache he had a migraine. I just let him get on with it in the end. He was an abusive arse. My current DH is nearly perfect but he is a teeny bit like this too. Most of the time I just say we will see how he is later or suggest he takes some paracetamol. The most annoying thing is when he complains that something has given him asthma... Cue dramatic and noisy in-breaths. Anyone who has asthma (like me) will tell you it's not the in-breaths that are the problem... it's the out-breaths and they are the ones that cause the wheeze. However he does have a serious medical condition that he very rarely complains about so I have to cut him some slack, especially as he has to be very careful not to get any chest infection so he is understandably worried.

Stay resting and get takeaways if you need to. He'll just have to get on with with his. He's just letting you know that there's a limit to his caring.

Yeah we have similar sometimes.
When he broke his leg I grafted to look after him and DS while working full time and didn't whinge once.
He "looks after me" and I'll hear about it for weeks later
