Just that really. I am struggling with getting mone to bed and it often end up being 9:30 or later which is just too late. Just wondered what is done in other homes?

8pm school nights. 8.30pm other times. Then reading as long as they like.

Their best friend goes to bed at 10pm and even my DC think it's too late!

Aim for 8.45/9 upstairs, 9.30 sleep. He wakes at 7.20, up at 7.40 for school. He often can’t sleep and is up till I go up around 10.30 though then tired the next morning. It doesn’t help that he seems to go to bed very late at his dads. It’s helpful to know that 9.30 isn’t too out of the ordinary though on here.

Thanks everyone, really helpful. When I said 'too late' I mean they are tired. I struggle to get them up in the morning at 7:15. Its hard as they get home late from school clubs and then have homework, dinner and want to spend some time with us, play on their upad a little. I feel mean rushing them off to bed before they have had a chance to relax but their days are full on and they are clearly tired. They struggle to switch off too and keep coming downstairs for endless water, a plaster, calpol, an apple etc. which makes me think they need some more time with us.
i chatted to the class teacher this week who mentioned they had seemed tired and a little teary. They worry about SATS and secondary school. I am torn between making sure they get enough time with two parents who work late and getting them to bed in decent time.

Yes I thought that. I thought it was seen a very late and was prepared to be flamed for this.

7.30pm, lights out 8pm. At present falls straight to sleep, when not so busy might only fall asleep by 9pm. Have to wake up at 7.15am and often struggle to get them up! After a busy weekend, often will have 3 nights of 12 hours each night. My child needs sleep it seems 😴

Weekends 930_10pm.
