Nursery dilemma

Posting for traffic in the hope someone can help me decide!

DS (3 in April) just misses out on April term for nursery start by 3 weeks, so isn't eligible for gov funding until September.

We've been viewing some local nurseries/schools to get a feel for them.

He's quite advanced for his age and since viewing the nurseries we can really see how much he would enjoy/benefit from going earlier than Sept.
The teachers all commented on how well he was slotting in and enjoying himself, all surprised he hasn't been in a nursery setting previously.

Nursery A is closest and DS loved his visit. This nursery doesn't allow him to start any earlier (funded by me) so would have to wait another 7 months until September. The primary school is adjoined but local high school is catholic (we have no religion so our DC aren't baptised). Nursery/primary school rated Good and High school outstanding by Ofsted. DS could walk home from high school.

Nursery B is slightly further (only by about 5 minutes) and he also enjoyed visit here but classroom is smaller.
This nursery will allow him to start any time (funded by me until gov funding kicks in).
The nursery, infant/junior school & high school are all situated on the same large campus. It's a non-faith school. All schools rated Good by Ofsted. DS would need bus/lift home.

AIBU to fund an early place at Nursery B until September and then move to Nursery A when his eligibility starts there?

Wait for September and start Nursery A - with no nursery beforehand?
Forget Nursery A and start Nursery B with the prospect to carry on there?

WWYD please?

Don't waste effort thinking about secondary schools. Choose a nursery that will serve him best now.

If you think he'd benefit I'd get him into nursery B now rather than waiting till September.

My DD is 3 in March so luckily eligible for funding from April and I am counting down the days until she can start! She really needs the structure from nursery I think.

You could always move him to nursery A in September but you might find he (and you) are settled and perfectly happy with B that you won't bother.

What is the criteria for the primary and secondary you want? Does going to feeder nursery or primary count?

Attending the nursery won't automatically get a place for Reception. Which is the more likely to be allocated?
