Not giving DP lift to work?

I don't think I'm being unreasonable but I do feel it!

DP sold his car and bought a £400 bike (without telling me, it just appeared in our house) saying that he would cycle to work. Now it's cold and he doesn't want to cycle. Or it's wet and he doesn't want to cycle. Or he's tired. Or insert any excuse. AIBU to say to driving him? We have a 7 month old, and quite frankly I can't be bothered. But I'm such a people pleaser I feel bad for not doing it?

Tell him no lifts unless it’s a blizzard.

If you stat firm, he will buy a car.

Dis he sell the car as it was too expensive to run whilst you were on maternity leave?

Random postulation.

Random postulation.

Or just a question

Depends why he sold his car. What is he or you both doing with the money you're now saving by not running two cars? Was the bike expensive? How far is the journey? What time of the morning is he expecting you to drive him there?

GabriellaMontez · 28/01/2023 09:35

Every day? Or a one off ?

Do you share the costs of running your car?

Or did he decide he didn't need a car because he could use yours?

There's no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing

If he sold the car to help financially then I think you should give him one pre planned lift a week (get him to check weather forecast). Cycling in the cold is fine (I do it all the time), it’s only rain that is horrid and dangerous for cycling. Is there no public transport or lift share options?
