My Dd, 4, is having a v different childhood to my 80’s/90’s suburban, Manchester one.
We live abroad, in the sun, by the beach…I love this for her…but…feel sad she won’t experience similar things as we did.
I’m trying to do the English breakfast on a Sunday morning (we always had one) my dad would make it, then put on their music, which I’m so grateful for and we’d read the Sunday papers. We don’t read papers now, but I put a range of music on from the 90’s mainly and do the breakfast or make my mums lasagna for dinner. That’s about it though really
Anything you do? I really want my Dd to look back on a happy childhood, hers definitely will be I think, it’s just so very different from ours.

It really is the small things. My DC gets read to every night just like me; we read to DC loads during the day too, but there is always a goodnight story (or two, I’m a soft touch!)

I like your Sunday morning routine, might try it. What other ideas do you have?
