For you fellow partial denture wearers, do you take them out at home?

The question is in the subject really!
I got two front bottom teeth out on Monday and I'm wearing a partial denture. I have become quite accustomed to it but Jesus christ eating and talking with it in is a whole different story. I am slowly learning the art of talking but until I can wear adhesive, eating with it is a no-go.

Anyway! I kept it in all day yesterday until 6pm which meant I had been wearing it 13 hours as my dentist said about getting used to it. My question is, for those who wear partial dentures, do you bother wearing them at home? Is this something I should be doing or not? I'm single so do not need to worry about my man seeing a gappy smile haha. It was heaven taking it out yesterday

You are being unreasonable - Keep it in till you sleep
You are not being unreasonable - Take them out when you get home.

I'm wearing one whilst I wait for an implant. I take it out when I'm at home. I also take it out when I'm eating even if I'm out generally speaking as it's a pain to eat with. I wouldn't if I was out for a posh meal but if I was in a sandwich shop or out for a casual supper with one other person then I would. I love the fact it means i can look like I've got a full set of teeth when out and about but it's still a bit annoying and uncomfortable so I take it out at home.

Depends really. If I'm working from home and won't see anyone all day, I probably won't bother putting it in when i get up.

If I have it in when I come home and the adhesive starts wearing off, I will remove it rather than add more glue but if it's stuck in, I'll leave it in until I go to bed.

Thank you both! It's a nightmare at the moment as its moving all over the place as it hasn't got any clips and I can't wear adhesive until the extraction sites heal.

Do you find with adhesive it stops it moving around and keeps it stable?

I don't use adhesive with mine. Has yours been properly fitted? It shouldn't move around really as it should fit snugly against your other teeth I think.

When mine is in I don't get any movement although it does sometimes come out when im chewing so that's why I take it out to eat if I can.

Mine is only for one tooth though so im not sure if that makes a difference.

My dentist said it fits properly when he inserted it but it doesn't actuallly fit around other teeth if that makes sense like it has no hooks or anything it just kinda rests under the tongue
