To ask you how much you think I weigh?

I feel like I look smaller than what I actually weigh (however I know I am still overweight) so was just curious to ask on here as not something I would go about asking friends/colleagues etc.

In stones and pounds please to save me having to calculate 😂

Yes

This seems totally random to me! 🤭 Never known anyone with stairs into their bed!

DillDanding · 24/01/2023 21:48

I’d never have guessed over 15 stone. You don’t look that big to me.

GroggyLegs · 24/01/2023 21:48

Gamer he cos right - you do look like you have an athletic build.

If you don't do weights you really should consider it (if that would float your boat).

Bubblebubblebah · 24/01/2023 21:48

My brain also liked to tell me I certainly didn't look obese, what blasphemy are the scale saying!
Brains are a funny thing

DelphiniumBlue · 24/01/2023 21:49

Good lord! The variation in similar size people is quite amazing! I'm 5'4, a size 18-20 and weigh about 13 stone, I'd have guessed you at about 11.5 stones.

IClaudine · 24/01/2023 21:50

I would have said about 12 stone, really surprised you are that heavy. Your torso and legs look pretty toned to me. You also look taller than 5"4.

wherearerhou · 24/01/2023 21:51

I will post side on pic tomorrow for those that have asked, in my bed!

Look at my chunky fingers and arms though, massive

Rebel2023 · 24/01/2023 21:52

You're probably just naturally dense!
I'm 5ft 10 and at 16st 9 I'm a size 16, if I get to 14st 7 I'm a 14. Takes a good 2 stone for me to lose a dress size

wherearerhou · 24/01/2023 21:55

Can I ask why people are recommending I lift weights? Will that be particularly good for my body type? I used to be fit, certainly am not anymore.

They’re great for everyone, every person should lift weights!

I think it’s a rather outdated to think that if someone is top heavy / broad shouldered as you are that they must lift weights. Weights add tone and definition, they don’t add bulk.

wherearerhou · 24/01/2023 21:46

@gamerchick with those big fat arms!?

You're not seeing what I see. If you don't do weights then you should. You would look awesome Grin

JudgeRudy · 24/01/2023 22:02

I've seen your reply now but as a healthcare professional I don't put too much emphasis on BMI. Your upper body looks very muscular however I'd say you were overweight, as in carrying excess fat. You have a perfect 'diabetes' body, so watch out for that central obesity/visceral fat.
I would not have expected you to weigh as much as you do though.
I'm very 'dense' and muscular with a V shape...well I used to be. Don't get complacent (she says looking at her own disappearing waist)

LuluBlakey1 · 24/01/2023 22:03

You don't look anywhere near that weight. I'm 5ft 7, 14st 8 and a size 22 again!

I have type 2 diabetes actually.

I always joke with my 'apple shaped' patients that the bad news is they have T2DM, the good news is they'll have great legs till they're 80!😁

Want2beme · 24/01/2023 22:10

I'd've said 10 maybe 11 stone. No way you look the weight you've said.

Murdoch1949 · 25/01/2023 06:30

12 st 7 lbs

Mummadeze · 25/01/2023 06:40

I currently weigh 15 stone 5, I am 5 foot 7 and definitely look a lot fatter than you do. So I would say you don’t look your weight. I would have guessed 11 ish!

pinkieandporkie · 25/01/2023 16:13

I would have said 11st.
