To ask you to choose which is better?

Haven't looked at the previous answers so as not to influence my decision, but I say B! More symmetrical, even if that box thingy is going over the edge slightly.

I'd be removing the creams and san pro from there. Those are not display items.
Just the fake plant and defuser thing

I would have said B because I prefer balance and A looks all lopsided, but I think the wooden thing serves no purpose, and is a bit umm ugly

I would not have either I'd move the box to the middle in the position you have it in picture A and put something either side of it. X

You're right with what you've got, but I'd put the Reed diffuser & plant close together and add one more item (3 is betterbthan 2)

however, my choice would be...

Lose the unattractive box (Sorry)
put the tampax in a closed box or in a cabinet (yeah they're nothing to be embarassed by, but neither are they display items (IMO) same with the cream. If it's for your hands and you really need it there just put it on there (on a coaster/tile etc if it's greasy.

DH is wrong anyway, looks daft over hanging the edge!!

The first one is better. In the second, the wooden container hangs over the windowsill. This would annoy me every day in life

C which would be wooden box lengthways' in the middle and 1 of each 'thing on either side'. But on closer observation I'd get a small cupboard from Lidl or wherever and take the Tampax off display from the windowsill, they look like too much of a statement piece. And really what is the wooden boxes function otherwise.
