Failed private dental treatment. Agony. Please help

I am in so much pain right now, and concerned I might have nerve damage after a dental treatment a few weeks ago. After a previous root canal treatment done 2 years ago, I went to visit a private endodontist. He said my previously treated upper molar has a failing root treatment, and suggested a surgical root canal treatment, an apicectomy. Endodontist was slightly concerned as tooth roots were very close to sinus, but said he is happy to continue and will be careful. Procedure was carried out a few weeks ago, and ever since then I cannot fully stretch my mouth, for example wide smiling, yawns etc. what really concerned me was that within the last few days I have started feeling a crawling and prickling sensation along the incision, and spreading into my cheek. Speaking of my cheek, it’s also swollen, red and firm. I have contacted the practice, which advised me that they do not do any emergency appointments, and their next appointment is in mid February. Can they leave a patient in pain like this after something clearly went wrong? I can’t bear another month of living like this, I’m a single mother to a 4 month old. What can I do?

Call 111, I'm not a dentist or a doctor but this sounds serious and like you may have an infection.
They can get you an emergency dentist appointment or ask you to go to A&E if they think that's necessary.

I'd see someone else!

You need to contact 111 and ask for details of the nearest dental hospital- they should have emergency slots available. Sorry you’re in so much pain. Tooth ache is awful

I would try a doctor or at least a different dentist to get it sorted. Down the line look to recover any additional costs from the first dentist, but prioritise your well being first.
