To think this is unacceptable - 1k Gold dummy!

So I can across this news story on FB, 'most pampered' one year old - who bathes in milk and honey and sucks on £1k gold dummy www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/real-life/uks-most-pampered-one-year-26005986 (Link here) there's so many red flags in here. First of, saying you're on benefits and then have all of these things?!

  1. A 1k Gold dummy?
  2. A nanny?!
  3. Milk and honey baths?!
  4. Gucci trainers?

Not being funny, but there's people on benefits struggling to feed themselves, and then theirs this woman parading her child around as if he's a child god? F that, I say!

I get people will be "it's their money to do with what they want" but it's people like this that make a total mockery of the benefit system.

Not to mention, wholly unhealthy relationship, saying they'll be in bunk beds once they're too old to share a bed? Am I just...not getting it? That kid is going to need therapy.

just the one personal servant? hang on, let me get him the number for childline

Oh please don't. He does have a second servant to attend to all his whims and desires but servant number 2 was busy last night with another young employer who needed help because his duvet had the side with buttons the wrong way.

Its hardly benefits bashing, its a deluded muppet either making shit up for the newspapers, someone who is going to be in a world of debt, or has the father paying for it

either way, if any of it is true, shes raising a little spoiled arsehole

A previous story had a pic of her sitting beside the bath with a 2litre container of milk. You could see the Johnson's Baby Bath on the shelf behind her.🤣🤣🤣

People still discussed it ss if it was real.🙈

Iateallthechips · 18/01/2023 15:47

Meh, she’s earning money off people reading, believing and getting angry over made up stuff.

Good luck to her.

VirginiaQ · 18/01/2023 16:05

I read this previously and my first thought was if you're bathing in milk won't you just end up smelling of sour milk?? I always thought Cleopatra probably did too?!

Kitcaterpillar · 18/01/2023 16:07

It doesn't really have the ring of truth about it, does it.

shame they didnt proof read it before reprinting it eh?

Kasey, who previously worked as a dancer and model, says she used to believe she had no interest in having a child. However, after getting pregnant with Jareem in 2020, she quickly fell in love with the tot and knew she wanted to treat him well.
Meet one-year-old Jareem, who is said to be Britain's most pampered toddler. His mother, Kasey Akram, 32, says she loves spoiling her little boy - including bathing him in milk and honey and buying him a solid gold dummy worth £1,000 - and sacking a nanny who gave him tap water.
Self-described full-time mum, Kasey, who is on benefits, says she has spent thousands on her son and 'just can't stop'. A £750 Versace chain, a £925 diamond encrusted bracelet and a £1,000 solid gold dummy are just some of the possessions Jareem has.

Become pregnant late 2020, baby born mid 2021, baby turns 1 mid 2022, baby is 1 until mid 2023. I don't see the problem..?!

ReneBumsWombats · 18/01/2023 16:14

Sure, I'll say that kid is pampered! He even has a "refined pallet". What's wrong with the usual shitty wood the rest of us use? Why's he so special? Huh? Huh???

TheGoogleMum · 18/01/2023 16:21

I think she's exaggerating to make money from the story to be honest! Perhaps there's also a rich father?

MaverickGooseGoose · 18/01/2023 18:23

TooBigForMyBoots · 18/01/2023 14:41

Or she might pay for them by selling ridiculous click bait articles to the press.Hmm

In which case she can declare income and come off benefits

XenoBitch · 18/01/2023 18:27

No one could afford this on benefits. Chances are, she gets a nice amount of child maintenance.
If this article has you riled up, then it has done it's job. It was never put out there for people to think how lovely it is.

TooBigForMyBoots · 19/01/2023 01:14

It's not about how lovely the article is. It's about how real it is.🤣🤣🤣

Chibbers · 19/01/2023 03:15

Do you know, I just saw a pig fly. Honest.

Wibbly1008 · 19/01/2023 03:40

Well he will be a teenager from hell! Lol!

Agreed.

It really isn’t benefit bashing 🙄 so sick of that term.

I work full time earning £21k a year and still get benefits, a few hundred quid from stories to the paper isn't going to get anyone off benefits.

Northernsouloldies · 19/01/2023 05:46

I'm positive I read this same story a while back and it was revealed most of it was shite.

No!

Yes! This story was circulated in July 2022.

GeoffGiraffe · 20/01/2023 20:18

Kasey, who previously worked as a dancer and model

In a "takes on to know one" take on things, Kasey is/was a stripper. So she's probably got much more disposable income than is mentioned in the article. Dad also likely works in the industry, so again, disposable income. "On Benefits" probably means she claims child benefits. And like a pp said, she's worked out that she can make a few hundred quid off an article every so often. It's a non story.

NellietheElephantpackedhertrunks · 20/01/2023 20:49

I actually feel a bit sorry for her, she must not be well to treat herself like that.

As PPs said, I call bullshit (or is she the one using the baby bath?) and he appears to own one designer outfit, have had one (fairly bog standard) holiday ever at age two and a half and their house is hardly envy inducing! Even the ‘gold’ dummy looks plastic. No way is he even close to being the most pampered toddler in Britain…

Plenty one 1 year olds conceived in 2020. My daughter was conceived in Feb 2021 and she's 14 months. Friends DD conceived Sept 2020 and is 18 months.

Anyway, she, or the journo is talking shite. How is she paying for a nanny on benefits? Never mind all the other stuff.
