I've never been a fan of cucumber but I can't stop thinking about slices of cucumber with salt and lemon juice on.

I also keep biting cold lemons from the fridge, just bite into it and I'm satisfied 😂

And apple juice, I'm drinking a litre of apple juice a day and costing my DH £3 a time as I don't want the cheap one 🤦🏻‍♀️

DD Hellman’s mayonnaise out of the jar with a spoon, DS was Bourneville dark chocolate (the sight of a Hellman’s jar made me 🤢)

Babyclb · 17/01/2023 13:11

Nothing, I maybe drank more milk than usual but no weird combinations or food that I didn’t like previously.

Vicks vapour rub. I limited myself to eating no more than about half a teaspoon a day. Blush It was both pregnancies too!

Wow! I was wondering whether to confess this, but here you are with exactly the same! I used to eat little bit a day as well!

I also couldn't get enough of the smell of our kerosene heating oil!

Linlaw · 17/01/2023 13:15

@StrawberryWater me too. A big mac meal with a strawberry milkshake. Rarely had it before, I can count on less than one hand the times I’ve had it since and that was 25 years ago.

Fresh compost and ice! Obviously I didn't eat the compost but the urge to go and buy a bag and open it and eat it was huge!

HippyChickMama · 17/01/2023 13:20

First pregnancy- raw red peppers and those teacake sweets and the smell of creosote, all quite earthy and it turned out I was v anaemic

Second pregnancy- chalk, but I tried it and it didn't taste right, it was all bitter (probably has something added to stop people eating it!) so it was Refreshers and Rennies by the packet, I needed the chalky texture

Chickenvoicesinmyhead · 17/01/2023 13:22

Some of these are bonkers!

Not weird but Quavers in 1st trimester.

I wonder if there's any correlation between sweet/savoury and baby gender?

Iwasntgettingasandwich · 17/01/2023 13:24

@AnotherCountryMummy it started as sniffing it, then a tiny dot on my finger to taste, then licking it out the pot. I decided that I absolutely would not by anymore as a way of limiting how much I could have. It wasn't just the taste and smell but the feel of it on my tongue.

dontmakeitaweproblem · 17/01/2023 13:25

Salt and vinegar crisp with chocolate buttons on top with the 1st

Mini packs of cereal but mixed together like coco pops and cornflakes mixed together with the 2nd

IHeartGeneHunt · 17/01/2023 13:25

Coconut ice lollies
Watermelon
Apples
Ham sandwiches but only the very plain ones from Asda because if I touched the ham with my hands it made me feel sick!

ILookAtTheFloor · 17/01/2023 13:29

Tinned fruit cocktail
Tinned peaches
That tray bake school cake with hundreds and thousands
Rice, chips and salt

All were things I ate as a kid!

I hadn't eaten tinned fruit cocktail since I was about 10 😂

SuffolkUnicorn · 17/01/2023 13:32

Scotch eggs with barbecue sauce strange as I have never liked eggs

cheese and coleslaw sandwiches
salt and vinegar walkers

georgarina · 17/01/2023 13:54

Sand and soil (anaemic in first pregnancy, not in the others - I'm pregnant now and the sand box at DD's stay and play is so tempting)

BunchHarman · 17/01/2023 14:33

Nothing. But I was so, so so, sick, up to 20 times a day, that I lost a ton of weight and couldn’t stomach anything. When it eased about 24 weeks, I just ate normal things.

allfurcoatnoknickers · 17/01/2023 14:36

Similar to you OP - cucumber and crispy salad with olive oil, salt and lemon. I could (and do) get through bowls of the stuff.

Bikingwithbabies · 01/07/2023 10:16

At various points my cravings included: orange juice, anything with vinegar, cheese and onion sandwich filling, tuna sandwiches and mashed potatoes! Budweiser zero turned out to be the best sickness remedy, so I drank a good amount of that as well!

Went completely off meat first time round and still can't look at fancy Easter eggs without feeling sick. Ginger nuts can get in the bin as well, they'll forever be associated with morning sickness (as will the Bugaboo Chameleon pram🤦🏼‍♀️). First pregnancy I also couldn't stand the thought of drinking water from a plastic container, which drew raised eyebrows from the GP😅

LaBefana · 01/07/2023 10:26

Ones I remember were Heinz tinned spaghetti, and tipping a little Dettol down the sink and smelling it. A friend told me she had heard of women wanting to eat coal.
