To take book separate room at premier inn for teens

I am planning on taking DS (16) and his friend 15 - nearly 16) to a sporting event
if I book two premier inn rooms - one for me and one for the boys , would premier inn allow this? Their website says over 16s can have their own room if parents / guardians are staying in hotel - which I will be x
Can I just check in and say they are both 16 . Will anyone check ? Or do I say the 15 yr old is sharing with me - and then just give them a room together .

I've done this many times. Also my son took part in an NYMT show last year and the organisation booked half a premier inn out for young people aged 14 onwards.

We do for our younger than that kids.
We usually end up next to each other anyway cause booked together.

We took teens to London in the Summer & booked adjoining rooms at The Premier Inn - it was great! The staff came to unlock the interconnecting door & were fine with them 'technically' being in their own room.

I wouldn’t think twice about this, and I don’t think Premier Inn will either. We booked 2 rooms in the summer and DC 15&13 shared- technically ‘against the rules’ as no one over 16 so officially on the register it was an adult in each room with 1 teen but we didn’t mention it. No drama (except for making sure they got up for breakfast!)

Well you definitely wouldn’t want to share with someone else’s 15 yo son!

Id be more likely to say both were 16 so they’ve got everyone registered in the right room - in case of the very unlikely event of fire.
