To not want my babies Grandparents to have a sleepover

My DPs parents will be meeting DD for the first time soon (they live abroad) and I know they're going to ask to have DD overnight (she's 8 months) on their own but I don't feel comfortable with it at all. I know they're DPs parents but I've only met them once and he's only seen them a few times in the last few years. I don't know how to approach it when they ask without it turning into an awkward argument. They've already had a fall out with his sibling so the sibling is now NC including his own kids.

Sorry you already said you would say no. Well, in terms of their reaction, just keep thinking — that’s their problem, not yours. They are highly unreasonable even to ask this of you, I think.

we aren’t all like it, I like my sleep too much!

Hahahah this is my Mum in a nutshell (don't blame her at all) They've had her for 2 sleepovers but it's from us asking. As much as she adores her, she's done her part when she had me and my siblings.

Thank you all for your comments. It helps just reading them and knowing I'm doing the right thing. I know I shouldn't care about the backlash because I'll always do what feels right, that does for me and my kids but I am a sensitive soul and hate hurting anyones feelings

Of course they can't have her overnight, they don't know her. It's ridiculous.

And more importantly, the baby doesn't know them from Adam. As far as she's concerned she's not going to think these are my DGPs so that's alright then, they're as much strangers to her as if you handed her to two randoms in the street.

@Gymnopedie this is exactly how I see it. Yes they are related but that doesn't counteract never having met

Another reluctant one here. My DS and DIL have asked us to have DGD when they go away for a night next month.
We look after her two days a week and live next door but still.....🤣🤣
