10 month old dd has a bottle before she goes to bed at 6pm then sleeps through til about 11 when we come to bed. Because she's still in a room with us she tends to be woken up by us coming in. At this point I'll offer another bottle. She used to drain it, then started taking less and now more often than not she doesn't want it at all. But sometimes she will have a few oz so I still offer it. Then we all go to sleep.

On the nights that she has no 11pm bottle she tends to sleep through until 5/6am. However when she's had a few oz at 11pm she wakes up earlier (about 2-3am) for her next bottle. Surely having something before sleep should make her go longer not shorter before waking up again? The thing is if she wakes at 2 and has a feed she then tends to think it's get up time at 5. Makes no sense to me. Anyone?

No idea but try not giving it, and if won't settle then offering water. She has shown it is not needed from a hunger viewpoint.

Would you consider putting her in her own room so she doesn't get woken up when you come to bed?

Pop her in her own room and let her sleep through

Babies naturally wake during the night, to see if they are safe and to suckle as they have that innate need.

I've tried and she's not keen yet. Plus it's easier for me to have her in with us for the 3/4am feed.
