Am late thirties, already have 2 kids. 1 in year 7, the other in year 4.
Lately I have been feeling like I would love another baby. We have no family support nearby but lots of friends. DH is on board also.
Are we crazy to consider this with the big age gap?

If you feel it's right and have the room and can afford it.....why not?

Why not if it's what you both want!
I'd have liked 3 but we started a bit late (had my second at 40) and we don't really have the room, and I don't want to move 😁

Why not? There’s nine years between me and my sister and she’s my best friend in the world. We weren’t close as you’d expect siblings to be growing up but we were close in a different way - she was so much older that she taught me thinks like a parent but who I felt understood me better than a parent could. As adults, we’re very close as you’d expect close sisters to be. There’s also nine years between SIL and SIL and they get on well too but SIL definitely parents my other SIL, I think because she’s simply not very mature for her age and needs it a bit more.

I wanted a closer age gap for my DCs but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the age gap you’ve suggested. It wouldn’t be a reason that I wouldn’t have another child.
