Hi all,
So I'm a mature student and I've applied to do an NHS course so the uni I've applied to have asked to see proof of my qualifications so I've sent the certificate from my high school detailing what my qualifications are that prove I have the right GCSEs (they've accepted my level 4 & 5) but they won't accept my gcse certificate as it's not the one from the exam boards and is asking for them as the NHS placements only accept these which is fair enough I understand that.
Problem is I've only got the certificate from my high school so I've contacted the exam board and it's going to cost around £150-£200 for replacements but l haven't even been offered an interview on this course so would it be unreasonable for me to ask if they can accept the certificate I've provided as it does prove I have the correct qualifications for the course and then if I'm fortunate enough to be offered an interview and a place then one of the conditions of that place should be to provide the official certificates - it just seems a lot of money to just show them and for them to be like "thanks but no thanks" sort of thing.
I genuinely don't know if I am being unreasonable and don't want shoot my self in the foot as it's something I really do want to do as a career.
