What do you buy a 40 year old man that only likes are football/ sport and who has everything he wants already?!

Short of spending thousands on a special bike he’d like or a motor home, I’m out of ideas!

Rolex?

stopbeeping · 07/01/2023 18:50

Is it a bicycle or a motorbike?

I might just do the bike he wants tbh!

Does he listen to the radio? I just received a beautiful new DAB radio to replace my shabby old kitchen one and I'm in love with it

So, a high end upgrade of something he uses every day? Good luck, my husband is 40 this year and is impossible to buy for, so I'm watching with interest.

Got mine a knife making course

Be careful with this though - I ended up with a selection of forges and anvils on the decking in the back garden after going on one of these.

His favourite aftershave and a blowjob.

My partner is the same so I always do a holiday/short weekend break. We've done Rome and a few places in Wales and it's all been cheaper than me buying him some clothes etc! Plus I got something out of it 😂😂

Why is everyone moaning about the use of the word gift 🤔

Because it's really irritating. OP will probably announce she's pissed with us rather than pissed off just to compound it.

functioningadult · 07/01/2023 21:59

Does he do any sport or is he just into watching? I paid for some professional coaching for my DH for his 40th last year and he claims it was the best gift he’s ever had.

Peasepuddingbloodycold · 07/01/2023 22:02

Either make suggestions for me y gift my husband or go away. I’m not interested in debating the title of my post.

Your use of gift will get you YABUd, but I think you already knew that.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/01/2023 22:02

Gift is a noun. You certainly didn't use proper English.

Paul Smith socks are a nice gift (noun) to be given (not gifted). DP loves his and they're excellent quality.

What's your budget? A night away? Take him for a lovely local restaurant, so you get the gift too?

Chocbuttonsandredwine · 07/01/2023 22:06

take him to Barcelona for the weekend. NouCamp tour, or if funds/dates work tickets for a match

Theluggage15 · 07/01/2023 22:06

Can’t stand the word gift being used like this. It’s like when people use ‘myself’ all the time instead of ‘me ‘. I imagine it being said in a Hyacinth Bucket accent.
