Help me decide!
We live in a typical suburb town. When DC1 was born we lived in a seaside town and loved it. We made full use of the seaside and loved walking along the prom after work etc. We moved inland for a job.
Anyway, I have missed it so much and a job has come up that I want to go for but can’t decide. DH can keep his as his commute would stay the same. If we moved back, DC would need to change schools. I like my place of work now. Everyone in my office is lovely and I like the job. The job opportunity is similar but would mean being able to live by the sea again.
DH is undecided and also thinks that as I’m happy in my current job I should just stay.

YABU: stay where I am and avoid disruption for DC
YANBU: go for it! Move to seaside and hope a new job is as nice as current one.

YANBU

My best friend is raising her kid by the sea, walking down to the beach every evening in mists or spray or sun.

It's the dream.

I'd live by the sea in a heartbeat.
DH doesn't understand my draw to it though and wouldn't make the same choice.

I live in the Midlands and honestly feel suffocated. When I get to the coast I just feel so much better. Like I can breathe clearly.

I know it all sounds OTT and dh thinks I just feel that way because I'm on holiday but it isn't that. I don't find our holidays relaxing (I could write many posts about why) but feel so peaceful with a Seaview I could look at and listen to for hours.

So, none of that helps, but it depends how much you really miss being near the coast. If you relate to my description, I know what I'd recommend 😆. Good luck whatever you decide.
