Bored of hearing about Harry

Shiningstarr · 05/01/2023 07:47

Omg... I know it's because he's brought this book out, but anyone else just bored of seeing article after article about Harry?? Do people really care? Ive nothing against Harry or Meghan, I'm just not interested, simple as that.

What is it he actually wants from this?? I thought he didn't want to be in the limelight but he's in it more than ever now.

I think the overt media attention will fizzle out a bit over time.

Long term I'm unsure how they will generate enough funds for the lifestyle they want.

I'm disgusted he brought up a fight he had with William, again as if everyone else is in the wrong and he's just astounded how anyone can treat him and his wife so badly...!?

Brothers have scraps, especially young men. Harry has turned into some kind of pathetic money grabbing idiot!

They’re late 30s/early 40s. That’s not young. I don’t know anyone in that age group getting into physical fights.

MintJulia · 05/01/2023 08:41

This.

All his whining is just embarrassing. And who cares if William 'pushed him to the floor'? Most brothers fairly close in age will have locked horns in young adulthood, it's entirely NORMAL.

It's not as though anyone was hurt. I'm sure at some point in the last 20 years, Harry has pushed William too.

I've shoved my various siblings through the years, they've pushed me. We've fought. It's called sibling rivalry but we are still a strong bonded family.

What is he making such a boring fuss about?

Well.clearly you do care otherwise you wouldn't have started yet another thread ....

BarbaraofSeville · 05/01/2023 08:43

I've heard absolutely nothing about Harry (which Harry?) because I don't go looking for stories about Harry. You should try it Smile

newnamethanks · 05/01/2023 08:43

The toddlers scream. For crying out loud, it's this how he behaved in the army? Princes have always fought each other shouting 'it's not fair, he's got more than me'. It's traditional and boring for bystanders. I feel sorry for Meghan who has unenviably tied herself to him. I bet he's a bloody whinging nightmare baby. Ugh.

kittensinthekitchen · 05/01/2023 08:46

I love how so many of you are excusing violence just because you dislike the victim 🤣

That's fucking hilarious.

Hmmm I don't think it's normal as an adult tbh - I have too much respect for my siblings to be physical with them and it could possibly be the end of our relationship if I was

😂😂 MN double standards

hattie43 · 05/01/2023 08:50

Totally bored but it'll be tabloid / twitter fodder for years

Really ,that's quite strange of you and your siblings to fight as adults
Me and my sister certainly had fights as children but not as adults ,because that's not what adults do.

Sparklingbrook · 05/01/2023 08:56

YABU starting a thread about it. Isn’t there a Royal Family topic?

Tanith · 05/01/2023 09:00

I doubt he wrote a word of it. Whoever did apparently can't even get their names right.
He's signed it off for the money and the script-writers at Netflix want an 'Edward and Mrs. Simpson' scenario to sell.

AngelinaFibres · 05/01/2023 09:01

He went on and on and on about the death of his mother for years. That pot has nothing left in it, there is absolutely nothing left to say. So the new 'magic porridge pot' is his hideous life growing up in the Royal family and his escape. That pot will keep on giving for a little while but will eventually run dry. He has to make as much money as he possibly can whilst he can. Once it's all done he really doesn't have much else. He doesn't seem massively intelligent and he has no qualifications/ expertise in anything whatsoever so his options once the pot stops giving are very ,very limited. It will go quiet in the end. You don't have to click on the articles or buy the book if you don't want to.

Supertatato · 05/01/2023 09:03

To me it feels very much like they are airing their dirty laundry to make money. And yes it is very boring. All families have their drama, the royals are no different. I wish they would stop going on about it.

Whynobreadpudding · 05/01/2023 09:04

Any articles about H and M I always ignore and glaze over. They take up a good chunk of reading material that I never read.

JimDixon · 05/01/2023 09:06

I would respect Harry a lot more if he had an affair with Katie Price.

lunar1 · 05/01/2023 09:20

The constant drip of ever more scandalous information is like a AIBU thread where the op doesn't get the answer they want in the first instance.

One thing is for sure, Netflix will be seething this morning and probably having someone look over that contract. 100 million is a lot of money to not get this part of the story.

SpringsRightAroundTheCorner · 05/01/2023 09:37

I think the obsession with these people is weird, they are just people born into wealth (who think they are above the law). I'm not fussed about harry either way, I feel sorry for him if anything, he's been raised in such a bizarre setup, his family clearly ordered his mother's murder, it's no wonder he wanted to get out. I'd tread carefully if I was them, his family got away with it once, they will again if needs be. It's all about protecting their throne, they don't like looking bad, what happened with Diana's convenient demise demonstrates this. I'd watch it Harry!

WerkinMum · 05/01/2023 09:39

It's now got to the point where it's less about people being interested in him, and more about people wanting to gawp at the public spectacle he's making.

ichundich · 05/01/2023 09:40

caraway33 · 05/01/2023 07:56

”bored of hearing about harry” so here i’m making a thread about it.

Exactly this!

HRTQueen · 05/01/2023 09:42

The latest chapter I’m finding entertaining and looking forward to the Palaces statement

LateAF · 05/01/2023 09:43

Do people actually physically fight with their adult siblings? Past the age of 18?!!

I feel like I’m in an alternate universe on mumsnet sometimes.

Charlize43 · 05/01/2023 09:43

I think part of the 'modernisation' of the Royal Family is to turn it into Eastenders type show where everyone is screaming at each other.
