I'm pissed off I seem to have lost my ability to fall asleep

I was on mn recently in the small hours moaning I can't sleep and here I am again. I don't drink, I don't smoke, dinner was at 6.30pm so plenty of time to digest before bed. I haven't had coffee. For me, lights-out is usually 10 -10.30pm. I then flip flop around in bed until about 4.30am when I finally fall asleep only to wake again at 8.30am. It's not enough deep sleep and it's making me super exhausted and quite moody. I've had plenty of exercise today so you'd think I'd drop off pretty easily but no. What am I doing wrong?

Been here many times.

I recommend Glenn Harold sleep hypnosis app, magnesium supplements, a small snack before bed, ear mask, ear plugs. Move away from any snoring family members if you can. The shipping forecast at 4am was also very relaxing to help me nod off!

I know it tough but try not to worry. I think 8 hours is a myth, some people need less sleep, some are fine on much less and it can change at periods in your life. You will sleep well again.

I've been like this since I caught that cough cold thing just before Xmas. At first it was because I coughed every time I laid down. Now it's like I am thinking I will. Took two nytol last night which helped but I don't seem to feel as sleepy as I used to

Reading a book helps for me. No screens for a long period of time before lights off.
