Do I split my raincheck voucher?

I am going away with 2 friends in August with Jet2 which has been planned for a while and I am hoping to book it this week for all of us. . I got a £60 raincheck voucher on my last holiday to put against a new holiday which would make a difference to me as I am moving home this year and will need to furnish it from scratch. My friends earn a lot more than I do and are more financially comfortable but my instinct would normally be to take it off the holiday and each get £20 off. Wibu to book the holiday and take the £60 off my share seeing as it is my voucher and I am booking the holiday or do I split it which is what I feel I should do?

It’s your voucher, so it counts as your money, so of course use it for yourself.

Bemyclementine · 03/01/2023 22:59

No, it's yours!

It’s yours. Use it for yourself.

Thank you. I wasn't sure if I was being tight for even considering using it for my portion only

Slightly off topic but are you paying up front for everyone and then the others will pay you back?

StoneofDestiny · 03/01/2023 23:26

No! Your voucher - use it for you.

caringcarer · 04/01/2023 00:14

The voucher has nothing to do with your friends. They don't even need to know about it.

allboysherebutme · 04/01/2023 00:46

It's your voucher use it yourself. X

You must be a lovely friend that would even consider splitting your voucher with the others who actually earn more than you. It is of course to be used to reduce your cost only as it us your voucher.
Enjoy the holiday

I posted a similar thread! Mine is £40 for a restaurant though, in your situation I would just use the voucher on my own share as holidays are much more expensive than a meal out.

Yes that was the plan. Though that makes me nervous. I guess someone has to do it though. I am unsure if the voucher can be used if we just pay the deposit for now. Might need to look into this more 🤔
