I think staying away from people helps. Unfortunately I work with the general public.

I have always had a pretty strong immune system and generally got away with one winter cold per year I've have never led a particularly healthy lifestyle but am careful about hand washing and touching surfaces in public

This year has been different and i have been ill with colds and flu pretty much constantly since the end of November. I now have a miserable tooth infection and am waiting for an emergency dentist appointment.

The difference this year has been extreme stress and a bereavement. I reacted by drinking far too much, started smoking again and have struggled to sleep. I feel like I've been running on empty and am now grinding to a halt.

It's really hit home how important it is to care for yourself!
