To hate it when people stink at the gym

It was so busy at the gym today that people were queuing for machines. There were so many people who smelled of old BO. I understand it's more convenient to just have a shower after your workout, but it's inconsiderate of everyone around you.

I find my gym kit starts to get an odour to it after a while. I wash all of it after every single session, and I’m always showered before going to the gym but after a number of sessions, some of the tops start to smell of BO as soon as I start getting hot. It’s mortifying but I can’t afford to replace gym tops every couple of months.

Oh I love when people smell of perfume! I was complimented on mine.

Meen while everyone else is choking on it, perfume smell is shit too.

It’s a gym.

Don’t be a twat. If sweat offends you, exercise elsewhere.

AF if you have a garden can you pop your tops inside out on the line for a a few days? I find that fresh air and even a dab of UV light helps to clear the sweat smell. Works even better in the summer.

Dettol antibac wash (and never, ever use fabric softener) deals with that.

Thank you, both - I will try both those tips. Didn’t know about not using fabric conditioner. I’ll try that.
