To be puzzled and slightly irritated by all the people who have come to gawp at a marooned ferry.

As always on a sunday we have come out for brunch and a leisurely read of the papers. The village is packed with people the roads are jammed there is no parking and the paper shop has sold out of papers. We have just witnessed one car crash and a near miss. Our coffee bar is packed and noisy rather than having its usual laid back sunday feel. All because people have travelled for miles to see a ferry on the beach. Why?

the prom was backed up from south shore today - it took us an hour to get from St Annes to cleveleys for lunch. Like you say the tourist board must be absolutely green with envy - I have never ever seen crowds like this in Blackpool - and all to see a bloody rusty trawler - madness!! You can see them everyday in Fleetwood....oh yes, but this one is on its side - how exciting

Dh's gran lives opposite and did make me laugh when she described opening the curtains that morning as usual to take in the seaview and doing a comedy double-take at this massive boat on her doorstep
