To ask who has covid right now

As the title says, who has covid right now?

I'm on day 5. I won't be visiting family tomorrow and I'll be happy to rest up.
Looking for some solidarity.... I don't know anyone with covid right now.
Do you have any symptoms? I have a pain in my chest, congestion and a headache, which only started today.

Me. I only tested because I was about to visit vulnerable relatives. A slightly snotty nose, a wheezy chest nothing notable apart from being exhausted - which I often feel at the end of term.

makingmiracles · 25/12/2022 00:53

We’ve both had it all week, dp last Sunday, me Tuesday, still both pos yesterday, I’ve been v tired, v congested, hacking up huge lumps of phlegm, cough which has turning really crackly, luckily kids seem to have avoided it or not displaying symptoms, I won’t test unless they show symptoms as tests are so expensive now. Only tested last weekend as dp spiked a fever, woke up in the middle of the night soaked through, then when I was at work mon night (chilled environment) I felt myself sweating out so I tested in the early hours when I got home.

hope everyone feels not too bad tomorrow, it’s certainly been challenging getting stuff done and presents wrapped etc this week whilst feeling shite!

Shawaddywaddeee · 25/12/2022 00:56

Me day 10, still very strong line. My boss has been telling me to go into work with it as my symptoms gone. I'm a dental nurse

Ajayjay · 25/12/2022 01:01

I tested positive Xmas eve, just have a sore throat, horrid cough and feel a bit out of breath at times.

We were supposed to spend few days with family and have no Christmas food in, so ordered in a takeaway tonight which we will heat up tomorrow.

Sorry should say ordered yesterday to heat today.

Had it beginning of this month, my mum brought it back from hospital after spending a night in A & E where everyone was coughing, took 12 days to test negative.

Vexed22 · 25/12/2022 01:12

Had it last week, all symptoms have gone now apart from bunged up ears but I'm still showing a faint line on lateral flow tests, spoke to family an will be seeing them despite the tests. They had it last month.

It was very unpleasant for a few days but seemed to dissappear as quickly as iy arrived, I hope you all get well quickly soon 💐

Iusedtolovefroggy · 25/12/2022 01:34

Had it since Wednesday eve, followed by 2 nights of insomnia and sweating/chills and having a fever, the most horrendous headache, muscle aches, blocked nose and now persistent coughing and wheezing if I move around too much. Also tmi been constipated for a week! Had to cancel plans with friends and family which was disappointing as I don’t get to see either often, I haven’t socialised properly for a year now. Solidarity with you all 😥

EKGEMS · 25/12/2022 01:46

I've got group a strep -been sick since last Saturday and a virus of some sort

Thursa · 25/12/2022 03:50

After avoiding it for the best part of three years the whole family started testing positive two weeks ago. I cannot shake it. Horrible cough, lightheaded, dizzy spells, upset stomach, rash up my chest and throat, I’ll feel okay for hours and then my temperature will go back up, I lose my train of thought easily. And I’m dopey as fuck! It took me three attempts to spell dad today while writing gift tags.

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 25/12/2022 04:43

Tested positive Weds but pretty sure I got it at works do on Friday as haven't been out the house since then. Different symptoms on each day so far! Started with heavy cold then the headaches now sore throat and chest aches and fatigue.

Brain fog pretty bad too and waking up at 4am and going back to sleep at 6!

lionhead1 · 25/12/2022 05:20

Dh tested positive yesterday and he's been really rough with it. Fever, cough, muscle aches, headache. Hope you all feel better soon.

Butterlover1 · 25/12/2022 06:57

Me, positive on Tuesday, felt really grim by Wednesday, receded to feeling like a cold by Friday. Still choked up and coughing now

KangarooKenny · 25/12/2022 06:58

I know 3 people with it right now.

UseAMuckySock · 25/12/2022 08:22

Well, last year I woke up Christmas Day feeling fine. DH was a bit “off” but generally we were ok. I did a Covid test, that was clear so we went to family for dinner and had a great time … until 3pm when I came down with the most horrendous headache. I tried to ignore it but it was becoming unbearable so I had to ask the host for paracetamol. We ended up having to leave early, did another Covid test when I got home, still negative. Went to bed feeling ok apart from the headache.

Woke up Boxing Day feeling like I’d been hit by a train. Did a Covid test, strong positive. Was practically bed bound for a week.

Now, onto this year … came down with a headache last night. DH burning up. Woke up this morning and head is pounding, everything hurts. What’s the chances I’ve got Covid again on the same bloody day as last year!?

BumblePan · 25/12/2022 10:44

Thanks for posting on the thread everyone. It's a safe space for the day, when the household is filled with Christmas cheer and merriment.

@UseAMuckySock do you have any tests at home? That's tough luck getting sick again this year 😪. Hope you feel better soon

Me. Or at least I'm still testing positive - I feel fine. Had to cancel going to SILs with all DH's family today but they don't live too far away so we should be able to see some of them in the next few days.

Pearfacebanana · 25/12/2022 11:08

Me.

Nowhere as bad as last time. Just a head cold. But still annoying.

ZeldaWillTellYourFortune · 25/12/2022 11:11

No Covid but developed flu symptoms overnight. Staying with sister in cancer treatment. I could scream.

Am quarantined and trying to figure out what to do. Drove hundreds of miles with my dog yesterday to be here.

LaurieFairyCake · 25/12/2022 11:12

We do (3 of us)

Daughter not coming today as people she lives with are vulnerable Sad

Tested positive yesterday - had it before, feel very tired and can't regulate temperature

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 25/12/2022 11:28

Very faint positive today but actually feel worse! Woke up with nausea and sick pains and aches everywhere even my arms!

Going to be a quiet day.

SouthwarkSwish · 25/12/2022 15:01

Me a few days ago (second time).

Symptoms:
High fever
Sore throat
Nausea
Congestion
Aches
Headache

ilsalund · 25/12/2022 15:04

Me. Tested positive yesterday.

Hacking cough and feeling very breathless.
I've coughed so much that I've vomited and my stomach muscles ache.

My sister keeps FaceTiming and asking if I've opened my presents - not a hope as I feel so awful.

Glitterblue · 25/12/2022 15:04

DD and I have it, DH is only just over it. We've postponed our Christmas with our parents to through the week.

mumofftwo · 25/12/2022 15:06

Me I test positive this morning
