Hope everyone has a peaceful Christmas and enjoy the time on your own if that's your circumstances. It's difficult...I'm on my own and have been (as in having a close relationship) but listen to thw peeps who have relationships and that isn't perfect either.

@Dreamingofsheep I never quite got round to buying some smoked salmon... I do have some pate though which I shall try to find without causing a total landslide out of the fridge like some giant game of Jenga...

And reading further ... Pizza envy!!

Anyoneanyoneanyone sending you a virtual hug 🤗 I'm accustomed to being alone and so tend to forget that not everyone is comfortable being alone at Christmas ❤️‍🩹

Merry Christmas gang 🎄🥂🔥

anyoneanyoneanyone · 25/12/2022 13:35

Thanks guys, it's a bit easier this year as like you all I planned out a day of self care and food and a list of jobs...I think anyone grieving loss of any kind probably finds life harder at this time of year.

Normal feelings and issues become a bit more heightened x

I'm.home alone too. Had invitations from friends and family but want to be alone. Going to go for a walk with mate later. Last minute decision, told mate depends in my mood. Lot of shit going on😫 look after yourselves.

BCBird · 25/12/2022 13:40

Woo hoo. Just remembered have smoked salmon. Will have toast with a Laughing Cow and put that on top. Classy bird🤭

Yeah, that's true.

Also expectations are higher.
Did you manage to get yourself any treat food?

I'm waiting for the kids to go to their dad's, then I am going to choose something nice to eat. Not sure what yet. Still full of yesterday's food when we did Christmas early at a relative's. It's all a bit complicated.

cobblers123 · 25/12/2022 13:51

I'm back indoors now having seen my dad in the care home and also seen my brother, my cousins, aunt and uncle.

I have a glass of Cava and my dinner is in the oven. Cousin entertaining asked me to eat with them as he didn't want me to be by myself but food was out of freezer and I did need to cook it.

I am perfectly happy here, TV is on cat is in his basket and I can drink the whole bottle of Cava if I want as I am not driving anywhere.

Cheers and Merry Christmas to all other onesies today! 🍾 🍷

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 25/12/2022 13:51

I'm on my own now after persuading my husband to go visit his mum so she is not in her own today. I have covid so it is what it is really!

PearTreeBoat · 25/12/2022 13:54

I'm on my own but did a full roast dinner (beef) and now enjoying a rather expensive bottle of wine.
Yep it's pretty shit but might as well make the most of it right

BlackeyedSusan · 25/12/2022 13:58

That sounds delicious @PearTreeBoat . Definitely make the most of it.

Hope it's not too shit.

Happy Christmas. Just me and my teenage son for Christmas but he has been at work for most of it. Will cook a big lunch tomorrow as he has a day off . Just enjoying the time off work being honest .
