To accept promotion working under temporally manager who does not like me?

A post came up in my work place I am the only one who qualifies for it. I was asked if I want it by higher management which could have been ideal but the said manager and I do not get on? What would you do? This manger change posts in March she won't be my direct manager then. What would you do?

Take it. Get a calendar/app, count down the days till March. You can stuck anything if you know it's only short term.

Surely the person offering you this job knows the history with this manager. What are THEY suggesting? The onus is on them to deal with it?

Basically I did not make a formal complaint of whatever happened between me and the manager but if I did I could have won. All seems okay in front of everyone but we know we don’t see eye to eye however, I remained helpful and polite at all times. And extremely careful I cover my bud all the time.

In fact a few staff members do frown over manager whereas I don’t and will
never do.

Oh dear!! The manager is now staying until a new manager if hired which. An take months and months. I don’t know if I accept this post not? Any advise anybody?
