Car issues after 4 weeks

So I bought a used approved car from a main dealer 4 weeks ago, with a 2 year warranty. The car is a year old. Discovered an issue at the weekend where the motor for the windscreen wash isn't kicking in. Assumed it would be covered under the warranty so I booked the car in for the dealer to look at. Have just dropped it off and they have insinuated that I have caused the issue by repeatedly trying to wash the windscreen in the cold weather when the jets were probably blocked with ice and therefore I've blown the fuse. This isn't what happened; I don't bother trying to squirt windscreen wash when it's icy as I know it'll freeze. I told them this isn't what happened but they said they will have to let the mechanics take a look and decide.

They're going to try and charge me a ridiculous amount for a small fix aren't they - if I'd known this I would just have taken it to Kwik Fit where it would be cheaper. AIBU to refuse to pay a penny if they try it on with me? Am already steeling myself for an argument.

The fuse is relatively easy to replace - this happened to ours on a Vauxhall in extreme temperatures. If the motor has burnt out, it might be harder but if you were unaware that it his could be a problem then I think you should be entitled to have it fixed.

The first time we took ours to the garage and it was done immediately. The second time (we weren't told what the initial resolution was!) the service dept desk said it would be the cold temperature and to put it in the garage at home if possible. It was fine the following day.
