AIBU to be so upset that this morning I woke from a nasty dream and really needed a cuddle from ever loving DH and he was already up, so by time I found him I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
I’d dreamt that I was…. having an affair with Matt Hancock!

It was so clear, he had taken me to a huge luxury hotel in london and we were hugging and kissing. Then I found he had hidden five coins under the bed, my cat on a lead made of string and I dumped my broken old vacuum cleaner in a cupboard. Then my husband arrived and I was still lying to him, I told DH it wasn’t what it looked like but I was working for Matt Hancock.

I think I’m suffering PTSD. It doesn’t help that DH is still giggling at me because I’m still traumatised.

my first one was a REALLY dirty one about Harvey Keitel of all people. I immediately went and watched The Piano and discovered I really really do fancy him in that! I was about 19 and quite shocked at the filth my brain produced hahaha.

That’s just too weird - I had the EXACT same dream (no gold coins, cat on a string or broken vacuum cleaner but the rest of it - luxury hotel, “working” for MH, all the disgusting kissing and hugging with him, lying about it to everyone etc) not long after he was splashed all over the news with the affair. I have never felt more dirty upon waking up from a dream and it has stayed with me for what must be over a year now - I am sure it’s why I have a visceral reaction of disgust to him whenever he is on tv.
I never have dreams like that about celebrities, and rarely have dreams I can remember - this one was just so disturbing and like you say, I felt traumatised afterwards! I wonder if there is some sort of subliminal messaging in the reporting that has made our subconscious minds want to go there…

He does have the teeth of Red Rum (Racehorse that won the Grand National 3 times in the 70s for those not old enough to know).

He was down beside me in his camo gear, and he held my hand in both of his and looked into my eyes and said ''I will never leave your side''.

He does nothing for me, not my type, but the strength of feeling in that dream was soooo strong i've never forgotten it!

I had at least three dreams about Trump when he was president - fortunately not sex dreams, but bad enough:

(1) He was the devil, and was trying to toss me into a volcano;

(2) He turned himself into a bear, and was chasing me with the aim of eating me;

(3) He set my birthday on me, and my birthday appeared as an ugly monster with huge purple eyes, and was chasing me around a tiny desert island. (I am totally birthday-phobic in real life.)
