To bare my midriff over 40?

Ordered a top online for a Xmas party next week and it is more cropped than it looked on the website. It skims my belly button but obviously a lot more skin shows if I raise my arms! I have a toned stomach and actually feel really good in it, but is this one of these trends that are absolutely out if bounds if you wore it the first time round?

YABU - nobody over 40 should be seen in a crop top.

YANBU - wear the top (and put that 90s navel piercing back in too!)

You're only 40, not 80, go for it! With a toned stomach, you'll probably look better than half the young ones out there channeling their inner lizzo...

What I really like about fashion now is that people wear what they want, whatever body size they are. Age, weight, height, etc., shouldn’t matter if you feel comfortable in it. If you feel good in it wear it. If you’re going to feel uncomfortable and will be pulling it down all night, then don’t. Age and body shape has nothing to do with it!!

I would say if you’re 80 still go for it! Who cares, if you’re happy you’ll look great. Nothing looks better than being happy and confident in yourself.

If you can rock it, go for it, I spent years not wearing shirts because I thought they were a young thing but I had brilliant legs and wish now I'd shown them off while I had them!

YANBU! Of course you should wear it I'm nearly 40 and I've been wearing cropped tops this past year. I don't plan on stopping. I wore the short shorts I've ever worn this summer too! I've got more confident about my body as I've got older so I feel I should make the most of it!
