What to have in car for emergencies?

Reading about the poor people who've had to spend the night in the car, WIBU to ask what supplies to keep in the car for emergencies? Cold overnights but also any other like scenarios in the UK. Anything you'd recommend?

@SkiingIsHeaven - it’s a bit less than a full bag of clothing for the charity shop.

My kit changes over the year. Always have a mini fire extinguisher under passenger seat (came in handy when rear windscreen wiper motor caught fire last summer).

binbags and gorrilla tape. Useful for so much.

Ski coat and thick boots. In case I’m outside the car trying to get snow mats under tyres if stuck in snow. Or sat waiting outside on a hard shoulder verge.

first aid kit. Always have a well stocked one just in case. Also have extra of medication I have to take.includes foil blankets.

Coins and some cash for emergency payments or card machines not working etc.

battery booster - charges my phone or jump starts car battery.
jump cables.
typre pump.

spare oil/coolant and bulbs.

mini screwdriver set

large micro fibre towel.

in winter I have some de-icer/cat litter and snow mats - or I can use the car mats turned over to get grip to get out of muddy or icy bits.
