Do you ever just get a BAD feeling?

Just that really.
Do you ever get a terrible feeling about something, someone or a situation?

This morning on my way into work, I was driving behind a perfectly normal car, nothing strange to note about it.. but I just had this horrible feeling of unease and worry and so I went around it once we reached the dual carriageway, and off I went as normal.

Later this morning I was having a catch-up on Facebook and on our local town's page, there was a post about said car having been involved in an accident with oncoming traffic! Apparently the driver was highly intoxicated and way WAY over the limit Sad

Does anybody else have things like this happen? I don't know why / can't put my finger on why I felt the way I did about it, but being behind this driver really freaked me out!

I think you noticed something off about the driving - you just didn't recognise what it was. I think we often notice stuff subliminally and then put our reactions down to "instinct" or foreboding but in fact it is just that we are spotting stuff all the time.

I think so. I remember one night staying in the countryside with some mates after our A-levels, and they went out to dinner/pub, but I had an awful headache so stayed at the cottage we'd rented. They left and I had this really strong gut feeling I was going to be glad I didn't go with them.

They arrived home much later than expected, with some of my mates sobbing - turned out a car had followed their car out of the pub and basically 'chased' them down country roads really close to them, lights flashing, and eventually 'cornered' them in a dead end and revved at them (remember, driving mate was only 18 and had been driving for less than a year) before eventually leaving them alone. I expect it was a case of 'LOL, let's scare the townies', but obviously it was really scary at the time.
