To feel the need to dress up on Christmas Day…

…irrespective of who is visiting. Some Christmas Days it’s just the immediate family, but I still feel I have to dress up. By dress up I mean in a nice dress or something. I have no idea where it comes from, I grew up in a very big ramshackle family and there are no external pressures. No one would care if I stayed in pjs or a onesie.

Anyone else feel the need?

PJs for opening presents, after that get dressed into something nice
The dress I usually wear has been getting small over the years and this year I'm pregnant and massive so I guess I'll just wear whatever is clean and fits this time!

I do my hair and slap on a bit of make up (which is about the only time of year I wear it) but I just wear what I usually wear (smart casual - a nice T-shirt and cardigan and pair of suit trousers).
