To be able to find size 14 football boots

Ineedsleeprightnow · 10/12/2022 20:08

Posting here for traffic!

Son is 14, 6.4ft and his feet won’t stoop growing, he needs size 14 football boots, I’ve found him some new Rugby boots but despite searching I’m struggling to find any football boots. Pretty desperate so any advice will be appreciated.

Depends on budget and how serious I guess.

Sports Direct £25 seems to be pretty budget friendly.

Ineedsleeprightnow · 10/12/2022 20:24

Thanks! These were the only ones l found but he’s telling me these are an awful brand for high level football.

This company seem to have 3 styles and on offer www.lovellsoccer.co.uk/football-boots/size/14

Evenstar · 10/12/2022 20:30

Appreciate those may be out of budget, I have two adult sons one size 13 and one size 14, even socks are ridiculously expensive

Confrontayshunme · 10/12/2022 20:38

American brands often have bigger sizes. Might be worth buying on a US website that ships to the UK. My DH wears size 14 and we get all his athletic shoes in the States.

Have you tried different brands? You may find he fits in an 12/13 in some brands. My DS is a 13 and it can be a pain to find boots, but he's found in some styles/brands he can get into a size smaller.

Adidas, £75:

Wait til he needs size 16

There are a few pairs here

Oh don’t! I’m loathed to pay over £50 as l know he’ll grow out of them just like all the other pairs.

Maybe check out an outlet centre if you have one nearby? They quite often have more in the not so popular sizes in the Nike one near us.

Ineedsleeprightnow · 11/12/2022 07:28

Thanks for the links!

Sadly he needs moulded studs (should have said that originally) so the soft ground studded ones are of no use.

I’ll keep looking as I’m loathed to pay over £100 as he feet are still growing! He’s on his third pair already this last season.

Look on eBay or Vinted , there are loads . They will be covered in mud in 5 minutes anyway

Sadly he needs moulded studs not soft ground ones, otherwise these would be ideal.

Sadly no 14 in stock of the moulded stud type that he needs

There you go

www.vinted.co.uk/men/shoes/other-shoes/2485427849-mens-nike-tiempo-football-boots

NB - pretend am acquaintance has lent them to you rather than having bought second hand if he'd fussy.

underneaththeash · 11/12/2022 07:39

NB - DS is a similar size and wears a 15, so hopefully his feet won't get much bigger.

leftitabitlate22 · 11/12/2022 08:00

I agree with your son that sondico boots are a no no at his age, I've had a look on vinted and there is some on there.

Lilly whites I thought would have a good selection but not many that size but saw these - depends on how much you want to spend

oh you’re so bloody good!!

Have just offered £25 and it’s been accepted… son actually wanted the Nike Tempo as well so I doubt he’ll care they’re second hand! Truth be told I’ll probably be searching for a size 15 in a few months anyway!

Thanks again…

Brilliant! One to bookmark for future reference…

Another poster just linked to some on Vinted in excellent condition so I’ve just purchased them. He won’t care they’re second hand he’s so desperate and l will no doubt be searching for a size 15 in a few months anyway so win win!
