To ring the estate agents to complain?

New neighbours moved in next door 3 weeks ago, they're renting.
Ever since they moved in, 5 nights a week out of 7 from 6:30pm-8:30pm they're in there being so loud, banging, shouting, sounds like they're chucking furniture around in there and they're keeping my 3 year old up when she's trying to go to sleep as her bedroom is next to theirs.
In the daytime they're dogs wine for half an hour every-time they go out and even the neighbours over the road have said about the dogs to me.
Their garden is covered in dog poo that they haven't picked up.
I feel bad for complaining but it's making me not enjoy living in my home. Would you complain? Thanks

If they moved in 3 weeks ago the may still be unpacking etc. Dog poo in their own garden I think is their own business 🤔. Dog noise maybe annoying but they may not realise.

YES

MassiveSalad22 · 09/12/2022 14:12

Unpacking that loudly would be incredibly unnecessary and inconsiderate, wouldn’t it?

YANBU OP what a nightmare!

YES

Yes what? Yes you’d complain, or yes OP would be unreasonable?

Afterfire · 09/12/2022 14:13

I would knock on their door first and try and speak to them reasonably. They may not realise how much you can hear them. If they don’t give a shit or are still doing it a week later then I’d definitely tell the agents.

Donut93 · 09/12/2022 14:20

They're not unpacking, they're home all day and they're quiet apart from the occasional normal noise that anybody would make, just every evening they start making so much noise, the staffy and german shepherd run around the street loose. I've knocked once before and I apologised for knocking but my little one can't get to sleep, they apologised but have carried on with no difference

Why the hell would it be the estate agent's problem?! Don't be daft OP, complain to the neighbours directly if you have an issue.

AreOttersJustWetCats · 09/12/2022 14:33

YABU not to go and talk them first

LumpyandBumps · 09/12/2022 14:45

I doubt that the Letting Agents could do much.
They may be willing to have an informal chat with the tenants, but they have no real power.
Most Tenancy Agreements contain clauses about noise between certain hours, normally 11.00pm to 7.00am or similar, but even then they are difficult to enforce.
If Section 21 evictions are abolished as intended there will be absolutely no action which can be taken. ( Yes, I am aware that anti social behaviour is a ground for eviction, and also know how bad it has to be).

Flux1 · 09/12/2022 14:46

Maybe they are working from home during the day and can only work on the unpacking in the evening? I don't think 8:30pm is an unreasonable stop time if so. I'd give them and their dogs a bit more time to settle before complaining.
